Google launched the Panda Algorithm update 11 years ago. Panda lowered the rankings of low-quality sites. This was a major tsunami back in 2012. Low-quality sites got washed out of Google.

Google will (almost) always reward websites that create high-quality content that take a deep dive by known experts in the field.

So not much has changed – Google is just getting better and better at choosing the best quality content.

The percents have changed a little bit but the overall drive to quality, trust, and authority are here to stay.
